PAN Parks - European network of wilderness protected areas
Rushing wild rivers, ancient forests, towering mountains; in Europe there is a jungle, indeed there are many. Bears, wolves, eagles and bison live in these jungles, Europe's national parks. And yet, most Europeans are unaware of all but a few well-known forests and mountain ranges. The lack of awareness is reflected in a lack of investment, institutional resources, and pride for these jewels of nature.PAN (Protected Area Network) Parks bring all stakeholders of Europe’s wilderness areas together. One Europe, More Nature: business and nature in Europe
WWF's One Europe More Nature project is working to restore and maintain key European landscapes and habitats by forging innovative partnerships with a wide ranger of stakeholders.At a series of sites across Europe, WWF and its local partners are working to identify opportunities where the interests of business and nature overlap, and forging innovative partnerships to take advantage of these opportunities.
